We are a new Canadian filmmaking community on a mission to make creative and educational content about filmmaking, VFX and everything that goes into film production.
From the first spark of an idea to the final colour grade, we love pulling back the curtain on how movies get made — sharing the craft, the gear, the mistakes and the magic with creators across the True North and beyond.

The Crew
Maple Turf started the way most good things in film do — a handful of friends, too much coffee, and a stubborn belief that great stories don't need a Hollywood budget to be told.
We're a tight-knit Canadian collective of directors, cinematographers, VFX artists, editors and 3D modelers who decided to build in public. Every project doubles as a lesson: we document our process, share what works (and what gloriously doesn't), and grow a community of filmmakers who learn by actually making.
